Saturday Night Love Spoofs Ned Fulmer's Try Guys Exit, Gets Backlash from Fans The Talks Today
There has been a lot of attention lately on the Try Guys, the internet comedy group that recently ousted one of its members, Ned Fulmer, due to a “consensual workplace relationship” he’d had with one of their online show’s producers. The group posted a video to YouTube explaining what happened, though they opened themselves for criticism in the process, drawing accusations of overselling the drama of the situation just to bring more attention to their videos.
In any case, Saturday Night Live took aim at the controversy with a new sketch featuring host Brendan Gleeson, who was making his SNL hosting debut on Saturday night. The skit sees Gleeson as a CNN correspondent who interrupts the news to reveal that the Try Guys have released a video about the Ned Fulmer incident. Gleeson is portrayed as a big fan of the group while his co-anchor, Ego Nwodim, is clearly unenthused to be giving the scandal any more attention.

Lined up on a couch to resemble the original video, the Try Guys in the skit are played by Bowen Yang as Eugene Lee Yang, Mikey Day as Zach Kornfeld, and Andrew Dismukes as Keith Habersberger. The comedians condemn Ned’s actions while the skit goes on to mock the trio for how they’ve claimed to be traumatized by what happened.
“Due to the trauma we are facing, our editors are working around the clock to remove any trace of Ned from past Try Guys content,” Dismukes says.
Day adds, “It will still be amazeballs, but it will also be sadballs. We’re all processing this horrific, violent and probably racist tragedy.”

The Try Guys Fall Victim to Saturday Night Live
Fans of the Try Guys seem to be unhappy with the Saturday Night Live parody. That has been a lot of criticism from some fans leveled against the show for making a mockery of the incident. Some say that an issue like infidelity is not something to make light of, while others suggest that Ned Fulmer must be friends with the writers at SNL.
